Meet Colleen & POP!
A Charlottesville native, owner Colleen Beights brings an eclectic background—and a lifelong curiosity about people, style, and connection—to POP Shop.
After graduating from William & Mary, she began her career in public relations before earning an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School and later an MSW in clinical mental health from VCU. Her career has taken her from the trading floor at Morgan Stanley in New York to marketing, social work, and social-impact organisations back home in Charlottesville.
Along the way, one thing has remained constant: Colleen loves people. She loves getting to know them, hearing their stories, making connections, and finding creative ways to bring people and ideas together. POP Shop brings many of those interests into one place—combining fashion, design, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and community.
POP was born in 2024 with the aim of adding a spark of beauty, whimsy, or elegance to everyday living--by celebrating and elevating preloved vintage and contemporary items, including clothing, shoes, jewelry, bags, objects and art, as well as curated midcentury modern and postmodern furniture. Pieces are offered through consignment and thoughtful shop sourcing, giving exceptional items a second life in new homes.
Colleen lives in Charlottesville with her husband and four children. Outside the shop, she loves travel, design, photography, gardening, yoga, and—perhaps most of all—talking to and learning from strangers.
